Several weeks ago I tweeted about reading Huddle: Sex With Sporty Queers, an anthology of five erotic short stories featuring male athletes. I honestly meant to have it reviewed long before now because Go Deeper Press, the lovely people who sent me this ebook, also gave me Con to read, but then I lost the charger cable for my Kindle and only recently found it, so I got way behind on my reading. Just like everything else. Excuses, excuses…

Maybe it’s a good thing I’m only just now getting around to telling you about Huddle, because through September 16, 2013, you can download it for FREE. Just go here: link to Huddle and follow the instructions. And do it, even if you’re not into queer erotica. I’m not a gay man, but I still enjoy reading about people who are hot for each other getting it on, regardless of gender or orientation. Plus, as a straight woman, I like dick, and gay erotica has plenty of it, so…

Of the five super-hot stories in this book, I enjoyed these three the most:

• “Free Run” by Benji Bright is definitely my favorite because in addition to a couple sneaking off to have hot, urgent sex in the woods, there’s an element of secret voyeurism, and the whole story seems so real.
• Ah yes, unrequited love… It’s a common theme because we’ve all been there and had a crush on somebody totally unattainable. In “Game, Set, Match” the main character, the only openly gay student at a conservative college, has the hots for the star tennis player. His longing finally gets some release after an encounter in the locker room, and the tennis hero’s attitude shifts from homophobic to curious.
• “Lucky Mascot” about two guys each getting their needs met in a symbiotic way, with the dean’s son helping the star pitcher ease his tension the night before a big game. That’s a win-win strategy!

The other two stories are well-written and engaging, but I didn’t get into them as much. The coach-player dynamic in “Punishment” made me a little uneasy, and “Football Head” made me sad because it sucks to get treated like shit.
