Follow Up Friday: Bimini Flash

Fun Factory Bimini Flash VibratorMy summer hiatus is over, and even though I have long-overdue new products to review, I’m posting a follow-up for a vibe I reviewed more than 2 years ago and have barely touched since. You may remember when I rearranged my sex toy storage and set aside a small pile of semi-forgotten vibes for future Follow-Up Fridays. Well, I’m finally getting around to them.

I selected the Bimini Flash because I don’t currently have a new dual-stimulation toy in my review queue, which I really need to update because LELO sent me a Gigi 2, I have an Echo from Tantus, and there’s this new thing called a Revel Body

Anyway, the one thing I notice about Fun Factory’s Click ‘N Charge vibes is that the batteries don’t hold their charge as the toys age. Maybe it truly is a case of use-it-or-lose-it, because I put them away fully charged, but if it’s a couple of weeks or so before I want to use them, there’s little, if any, charge left. My DeLight has even started doing this weird blinking light thing that I can’t make go away, so I’m not sure what’s up with that.

I know this because back when I did that massive sex toy storage overhaul, I had every rechargeable toy that attained top-drawer status, which included those in the Follow-Up Friday queue, plugged in and charging so they’d be ready to go. But when I finally got around to digging out my Bimini Flash and Spring, neither one would even turn on.

Fun Factory Bimini Flash MeasurementsAs for the Bimini Flash, I don’t like it as much this time around. The clitoral arm is too short and doesn’t actually reach my clitoris. The shaft isn’t bulbous or curved, and the vibe’s discreet size means it’s also short, so it doesn’t do that great of a job stimulating my G-spot.

Maybe it’s just my imagination, but I don’t remember there being an audible rattle from the motor. It’s nowhere near as loud as the Hitachi, but I definitely think my Bimini Flash makes more noise now. I remember my LayaSpot also getting louder over time, so maybe that’s just something that happens.

While I still think Bimini Flash is a much nicer option than the Butteryfly Kiss, if this one dies, I’m not going to replace it.
