What’s Inside Wednesday: Black Diamond

A dual-action rotating vibe features three rows of spinning metallic pleasure beads and a powerful, vibrating beaver clit stimulator. It’s a new year, and I’ve been doing some rearranging and organizing. This means I have a whole new batch of sex toys that I either no longer use, want, or like (assuming I liked them to begin with), so it’s time for another vibe cull. This is a good thing: it frees up much-needed storage space and provides me with What’s Inside Wednesday material. First up is Pipedream’s Black Diamond rabbit-style vibe.

I actually don’t have anything bad to say about this sex toy, other than it’s made from jelly, which I consider to be a subpar material, but at least it’s a phthalates-free jelly. All in all, this is a fairly decent rabbit, if a bit noisy. However, since reviewing the Black Diamond I have acquired others that I like way better, so it was pretty much just sitting in my bathroom cabinet collecting dust and taking up space. When I noticed that the jelly sleeve covering the shaft was starting to come loose, I decided to just go ahead and hack it to pieces.

Which was easier said than done, I must admit. I’m trying something different this time and filmed the whole disassembly process. It actually took me over half an hour, and even then I gave up trying to get inside the handle. That plastic was a lot tougher to tear up than I thought it would be! Don’t worry, I edited out a lot to bring you the pithy video embedded below.

The trouble was getting the wee tiny little screws out. They were screwed in from the battery compartment, and there was no way to get to the screw heads, so I had to rip up the plastic shaft and then use pliers to pull the screws out from the pointy ends. Then, once I finally got the dang things loose, it made absolutely no difference and the handle still wouldn’t come apart.

Not willing to admit defeat, I later took a hammer to it. That scuffed it up some, and it knocked another screw loose because I could hear it rattling around in there. But still the handle refuses to come apart, which is frustrating. I also gave up on trying to open the bullet casing to get the motor out.
