Follow-Up Friday: Honey Bunny
I haven’t done a Follow-Up Friday post in a while, and for that I apologize. Last month I was busy posting a new giveaway each Friday, but now that my blogoversary has passed I’d like to get back into doing the occasional follow-up. My hope is that they’re helpful to anyone who may be considering a certain product, as often our opinions change over time. Just because I love something the first few weeks or months I have it doesn’t mean I’ll always love it, and conversely, often I grow to like certain products the more I get used to them. This week I’m revisiting the Honey Bunny.
The True Love Honey Bunny was the first product I tried from Evolved, and it was only my second rabbit-style vibe. I ordered it from an online adult toys retailer, mostly because it was on sale for a great price, but also because I loved the look of it. Some may think it’s a bit too cutesy or twee, but I like it. I had no idea how big it was, though, so I was a bit shocked when it arrived and I saw that it was larger than my Rabbit Habit. Not so large as to be intimidating, but still bigger than I expected. I also didn’t realize that not all rabbit vibes have a rotating shaft. Honey Bunny has two vibrating motors, one in the bunny attachment, and another towards the top of the shaft, so this sex toy was also my introduction to strong internal vibrations.
Despite loving the design, I wasn’t sure I liked how it felt the first few times I used my Honey Bunny. There was a bit of a learning curve as I became accustomed to the sensation of internal vibrations, and the soft, squishy shaft was totally different from anything else I had played with, but I soon figured out how to use it to suit me. It’s so flexible that you can bend it back on itself, which means it’s great for thrusting, but don’t expect it to be very effective for applying any real pressure to the g-spot.
Overall, I still think the Honey Bunny is a great rabbit vibe for the price. It comes in a really cool packaging, the simple button control is super easy to operate, the motors are powerful, and it’s waterproof. However, it does have a few shortcomings. The single button means that both motors have to operate at the same setting. This can be a drawback if you like strong external vibrations and more subtle internal stimulation, or vice versa. I sometimes want a lot of oomph on my clitoris, but at top speed the shaft vibrations are a little too intense for me. Also, the bunny attachment is cute, but the ears are a single piece as opposed to being separate, so they don’t flap about as much. I know, I’m picky.
Now that I’ve had more experience using sex toys and know more about my own personal preferences, I’m not sure I would buy this one again. I generally love dual stimulation vibes, but I definitely prefer rabbits with a rotating shaft. I still pull this one out of storage every once in a while and have a bit of fun with it, but I have other vibes I like more.
