Buzzlet Vibe

I love that we’re seeing more and more rechargeable sex toys. I’m also excited that companies are designing better, more user-friendly products, like cordless bullets. Miuzu’s Buzzlet vibe is a win on both fronts. It’s a discreet, waterproof, rechargeable, and cordless bullet that Babeland.comsent me to review.

Buzzletis made from hard plastic, and comes in several different colors. I got a purple one. The colored side is a slick, smooth plastic, and the white underside, while still being smooth, has a slightly different, almost softer, feel to it. The whole vibe measures right at 4 inches long and about 3 3/4 inches in girth, so it’s a bit bigger than other bullets out there, but it’s still a nice handy size.

I was really impressed with the packaging. Buzzlet’s box is shrink wrapped in plastic, and there is a slide-off paper sleeve with pictures of the vibe from all angles on the front, and product information on the back.

The sleeve fits really snugly, and I had trouble removing it without tearing it the first time. Luckily, the same pictures and information are printed on the box itself, so you don’t have to worry about keeping the sleeve intact.

Lift off the box lid, and you’ll find Buzzlet in a molded plastic tray, and underneath is the power cable and charging base. I’m definitely keeping this box for storage purposes, as it’s so nice to have a way to keep everything together.

This vibe doesn’t really come with any written instructions, but under the lid is a card with pictures describing how to charge the vibe. It’s all pretty self-explanatory anyway. You obviously don’t want to get the charger base or cord wet, and it’s easy to see how Buzzlet’s hole slips over the peg on its charging base.

Buzzlet needs 10 hours to charge the first time, and then it’s ready to go. I don’t think it really makes any difference how you place it on the charger. I tried it with the purple side up and the white side up, and both ways it worked. While it’s charging, there is a little light on the white side that lights up.

Also on the white side is a single button control. Simply push and hold it for a few seconds to turn the motor on. Keep pressing it to cycle through the settings, and at any time push and hold to switch the motor off. The vibe always starts out on the slowest speed of continuous vibration, no matter what mode it was on when you last turned it off. In addition to 3 speeds of constant vibration, there are 5 pulse settings:

  • short, sharp pulse
  • busy signal pulse
  • short-long pulse pattern
  • short-short-long pulse pattern
  • escalating pulse

The vibrations, while not being terribly strong, are nice and rumbly, and they can be felt all along the surface. The good news is that the motor is nice and quiet.  The one thing I noticed is that due to the vibes cylindrical shape, it tends to roll away. In fact, mine has been dropped several times because it rolled off elevated surfaces like my bedside table and bathroom counter. Luckily, the falls didn’t damage it, but I needed to find a way to prevent more roll-away mishaps. Since the power cord is removable, I simply use the Buzzlet’s charging base as a stand, which allows me to have it ready and within reach even when not charging.

Overall, I quite like this vibe. I love the rumbly vibrations and pulse patterns. They could certainly have more oomph, but I think they’re probably sufficient for most users. I also love the fact that it’s cordless and rechargeable.

Thanks for this post. I have been hearing about this vibe on Twitter so it's nice to be introduced to it's features so clearly.
