Follow-Up Friday: LAYAspot

Reviewing the Ellove prompted me to think about how much I like Fun Factory products, so I decided to stick with the theme and feature the LAYAspot in this week’s Follow-Up Friday. Essentially, I still totally love my LAYAspot, and it gets way more action than any other clitoral stimulator I have. I keep it within reach in the top drawer of my bedside, where only my “go to” favorite sex toys are allowed to hang out.

Why do I love it so much? Well…

  • Convenience. It’s such a handy size. Literally. It fits very nicely in my hand. While it’s not the smallest clitoral vibe out there, it can be used during couple play, easily fitting between two bodies without getting in the way.
  • The shape really works well for me. In theory, you should be able to slip the LAYAspot down your pants, or otherwise rest it against your mons pubis, and enjoy hands-free stimulation. Its curve fits me very well for this purpose. It’s also nice for those times when I need my hands for other things, like manipulating a glass dildo or something.
  • It has rumbly vibrations, multiple speeds, and 3 different pulse patterns. Yes, I like to play around with all kinds of funky fresh vibe settings, but in all honesty, I don’t need them, and as a wise man once said, “Enough is as good as a feast.” Well, nearly. But my point is that no matter how many dozens of patterns other vibes I try have, as much as I love the novelty, nothing has replaced my LAYAspot as my clit vibe of choice.
  • The body-safe elastomed is firm, yet provides a softish surface that’s easy to clean and doesn’t attract lint. I think it feels a lot nicer than hard plastic.
  • It’s easy to control with just two buttons that are easy to feel with the + and – labels embossed on them.
  • It doesn’t really look like a sex toy.
  • It’s quiet.

Back when I was doing the romance home party thing, LAYAspot was my best seller. Maybe that’s because I always gave it such a glowing recommendation, but I also think it’s an ideal vibe to start out with. It’s not overpoweringly strong like the Hitachi, plus it’s way more convenient and quiet. The LAYAspot is also easy to travel with and more affordably priced than some of the other luxury clitoral stimulators. Another thing I noticed is that several ladies would also get SmartBalls that color-coordinated with the LAYAspots they ordered. I guess it’s kind of like having your bra and knickers match.

If I had to change anything about it, I’d make the LAYAspot rechargeable. In fact, if Fun Factory comes out with a Click ‘n Charge version, I’m buying it. Other than that, I can’t find any reason to not love my LAYAspot as much as ever, if not more now that I’ve been reviewing for a while and have tried other, lesser clit vibes. I’ve had my LAYAspot for about a year, and with regular, consistent use it’s still going strong.
