Intimate Organics Body Souffle
My skin gets really dry during the winter months. Especially my hands. I’m not really a germaphobe, but I understand the importance of frequent hand washing during cold and flu season. As a result, if I don’t keep my hands moisturized, they can get so dry that they’ll actually crack and bleed, which is no fun–not to mention somewhat painful. Plus, who wants to be caressed by rough, scratchy hands? I also love a long, hot shower this time of year, and that combined with having the heat on in the house dries my skin out even more, so I’m always on the lookout for an effective, all-over body moisturizer.
I must admit, I’m a sucker for nice-smelling, soothing lotions, and recently I ordered some Intimate Organics Fresh Orange & Wild Ginger Aromatherapy Body Souffle from one of my favorite online adult toy stores. This stuff claims to be a “delicious way to prepare your skin for a night of romance” but I think it’s fine to use any time. I picked the Fresh Orange and Wild Ginger because I definitely prefer fruity smells to floral fragrances, and years ago I had some mango and ginger sugar scrub that smelled so awesome I couldn’t get enough of the scent, and I thought this would be similar. It’s not, but it’s just as yummy-smelling.
The packaging is a simple tube that has a picture of a naked lady’s midriff on the front. I realize that’s not the most discreet, but I personally didn’t notice that you could see part of her boob until somebody pointed it out to me. Still, there aren’t any nipples showing, and there is a dewy leaf conveniently placed to cover her up below the hips. The screw-off lid has flat top, so the tube can stand up on its own, which I love.
There are a LOT of ingredients in this body souffle, so I won’t take up the space to describe them all as I usually do, but I will list them. I was a bit bummed by the long list of ingredients to be honest, especially since I don’t have a clue what most of them are, and they have some rather scary-sounding names. Also, I think it’s interesting that the company touts this as an organic product–which I suppose legally that is a valid claim–yet it has a bunch of artificial colorings in it. Oh, well. Nowhere on the tube does it claim to be “all natural.” At least this product is free from parabens, DEA, and animal products so it’s vegan-friendly.
Intimate Organics Fresh Orange & Wild Ginger Body Soufflecontains: Aqua, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate and PEG-100 Stearate, Aroma, Dimethicone, Olea Europaea (Olive Oil), Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 20, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Benzophenone 3, Methylisothiazolinone (and) Phenethyl Alcohol (and) PPg-2-Methyl Ether, Disodium EDTA, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, BHT, Cyclomethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Water (and) Alcohol (and) Certified Organic Lycium Barbarum (Goji Berry) Fruit Extract (and) Certified Organic Cymbopogon Choenanthus (Lemon Grass) Leaf/Stem Extract (and) Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Extract. May also contain: Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, red 33, Ext. Violet 2.
Intimate Organics Body Souffle has a wonderfully creamy-yet-light, almost mousse-like consistency. It spreads very easily, so a little goes a long way, and it absorbs into my skin really well, without leaving any kind of greasy feeling or residue. I usually apply it right after I have a shower, in addition to rubbing some onto my hands a few times throughout the day as it’s so nice and soothing.
Oh, and I totally adore the scent, which is a big deal for me because I hate sickly-sweet perfumy fragrances. The “fresh orange” is the primary aroma, with just a hint of ginger. The smell stays on my skin for a nice long while after application, but it’s very subtle and not the least bit overwhelming.
All in all, I absolutely love this stuff, despite some of the harsh-sounding ingredients. I’ve nearly used up the whole tube without any irritation or reactions, and it leaves my skin soft and smelling lovely, so I will definitely be ordering more. Yeah, it’s really awesome.

That ingredient list is…interesting. It makes me a bit nervous as well.
I love that it's not greasy, though. I've been searching like mad for a non-oily but deeply moisturizing lotion. The scent sounds fantastic also!
As an alternative, you should definitely try Corn Huskers Lotion! It's literally what corn huskers use to soothe their hands. I haven't tried anything better! It relieves cracks and dry patches; it leaves no greasy/oily residue, but a slight and pleasant powdered feel. It sells out pretty quickly–I'm having trouble replenishing my supply, LOL.
Crazy that you can write so much about lotion. I hope that your skin gets better. I'm glad I don't have that problem. Knock on wood. Nice writing.
I'm new to the whole "blog" thing, so I post this after each response. I hope you don't mind.
