10 Function Remote Control Bullet
I recently received the 10 Function Remote Control Bullet from Pipedream to review. I wanted to try this bullet for several reasons. First and foremost, it’s cordless. Now that I’ve had the joys of playing with wireless bullets, that has practically become a prerequisite. I also love its awesome Luv Touch satiny finish, and the size really appealed to me.
Shaped more like an egg, it’s still small enough to fit discreetly in my underwear. Plus, being a fan of vibration patterns, I was of course curious about the 10 functions. Oh, and it’s waterproof, which means easy cleanup and some fun in the bath or shower.
Packaging for this vibe is a thin cardboard box, with product pictures and basic information printed on the outside. The bullet, remote, and included batteries are all in a plastic tray inside. I must admit, I was rather bummed when I realized this toy took odd batteries, but at least they’re included.
The bullet runs on 6 LR44 watch-style batteries, and the remote takes an A23. Just unscrew the egg, and there’s a handy little diagram that shows which way the batteries go. The remote has a slide-off lid, which makes me think that it’s not meant to be waterproof, as I see no way to prevent water from seeping into the battery compartment.
This doesn’t really pose a problem for use in the bath, as I just leave the remote on the side of the tub and reach over to press buttons as necessary. I’m not so sure how to use it in the shower if I’m the one manning the controls, though. Still, one of the great things about cordless bullets is handing the remote over to somebody else, and this one has a good range of 25 feet.
The bullet is more like a small egg at 2 inches long, a little over 1 1/4 inches in diameter, and with about 4 1/4 inches of girth. It’s slightly wider at the top, and tapers a little towards the bottom. This doesn’t really produce much of a tip, but it’s still effective for more pinpoint stimulation. The remote is close to 2 3/4 inches long and a little over an inch at its widest part in the middle, so it’s a nice discreet size that will easily fit in a pocket.
There are 2 buttons on the controller: one turns the motor on and off, the other also turns it on and scrolls through the 10 vibration settings. The nice thing is that when you turn the bullet off and then back on, it resumes at the same setting. This is really handy, because otherwise you’d have to scroll through to get back to your desired function. Here’s a quick rundown of the patterns:
- Strong continuous vibration–yes, this one starts out at the highest speed of constant vibration, for some reason.
- Medium continuous vibration.
- Mild continuous vibration.
- Escalating pulse that’s nice and rumbly.
- Short, fast pulse.
- Wavy pulse–this one is like a constant vibration with a subtle throb pulsing through it.
- Fast pulse #2 is similar to the previous pulse setting, only more throbbing.
- Slower, longer-throbbing pulse.
- Quick busy-signal type pulse.
- Short, sharp pulse.
The 10 Function Remote Control Bullet definitely has some nice variety in its settings, even though a couple of the pulses are very similar. It’s smaller than the other cordless egg I own, and I actually prefer this size. It’s not as powerful either, which is great for some teasing and foreplay, and it works well when used for clitoral stimulation in conjunction with an insertable toy or during intercourse. This vibe is also ideal for some hands-free stimulation, whether you or somebody else has possession of the remote. It can certainly be used vaginally or anywhere else externally, but it’s not safe for anal play.
I’m not crazy about the odd-size batteries, especially since they don’t appear to last very long. This is the kind of sex toy I could play with for extended periods of time, and I did, which drained the batteries after only 3 uses (not including making the video). The power decreases significantly when the batteries are getting low, so at least I had that as a warning to go buy more batteries for it.
