Lady Calston Mini 4-Play
I did mention that I had a run of good luck in some sex toy giveaways recently, didn’t I? Well, I’m going to review another prize I won. This one came from a giveaway True Pleasures hosted to celebrate her birthday. There were a lot of awesome prizes up for grabs, and you could chose which one you were trying to win. I picked the Lady Calston Mini 4-play because I love rabbit-style vibes, and I had never seen this one before. Plus, nobody else seemed to want it so I figured I had a good chance of winning. Strategy, you see.
Packaging is about what I expect for a sex toy in this price range: simple plastic with a paper insert, which I plan to recycle, and not a lot of product information or instructions. So, while I know that it’s waterproof and phthalate-free, I don’t know exactly what kind of material it’s made from. It feels like TPR, but it could very well be something else. For that reason, it might be a good idea to only use water-based lube with it.
The unique thing about this rabbit is that it comes with 4 different attachments for the bullet. This is ideal for anyone who wants to try rabbit-style vibrators but may not be sure which design to chose, as Lady Calston has 4 options to play with. The shaft only measures 5 inches long, so it’s more the size of a discreet vibe or mini rabbit. The little heads are pretty small, and they’re really squishy.
The 4 attachments, clockwise from top left, are: Nibs, Bunny Ears, Pocket Fingers, and Tongue. At least, that’s what the back of the packaging tells me they’re called. Like most other rabbit vibes, Lady Calston’s shaft rotates while the little bullet vibrates. The multi-speed motor is controlled by a dial on the battery compartment cap. It’s also flat, which is awesome because that allows the vibe to stand up on its own, a definite advantage with these that are lint magnets.
There isn’t really that much difference in the speeds, and the motor itself isn’t all that powerful. It takes 3 size N batteries, and they go in the battery compartment cap itself, rather than a cavity in the shaft. About halfway up the vibe, the firmer plastic ends, and the rest of the shaft is pretty squishy. The rotating stem keeps it from being bendy, but it’s otherwise soft and giving.
It’s important to make sure the battery cap is on securely, and there are handy little arrows that line up when the cap is tight enough. On the tip of the bullet is a little ball, which is where the attachments go. They can be a bit tricky to get on, but with a tiny amount of water-based lube and a slight twisting motion, they snap into place.
Overall, I think the Lady Calston Mini 4-play is a good dual-stimulation vibrator to start with. It’s one of the more budget-friendly rabbit-style vibes I’ve come across, and I like that it comes with the 4 different tips. It’s just too bad the motor doesn’t have more oomph and makes quite a bit of noise.
