Denma Lady (Review)
I recently received a package from QueenCatAdultToys.com containing 3 Denma Lady massagers from Mode Design. These are compact wand-style massagers that have 10 different vibration patterns and 5 speed settings within each pattern. So, that’s 50 vibration options!
But the really good news is that I’m only keeping one of them. The other 2 are for me to give away! If you’d rather not read my entire review, feel free to click here to enter the giveaway.
Denma Lady comes packaged in a clear plastic box and is available in two colors, pink or purple. Inside, there are instructions in Japanese, and a little chart listing the patterns, which fortunately have English names.
This vibe measures around 7 inches in total length, with a 2-inch long head that is almost 1 1/2 inches in diameter, giving it a girth of about 4 1/4 inches. It’s very firm, with a velvety-smooth surface on the tip and a ribbed texture around the sides.
Denma Lady is powered by 4 AA batteries, and they fit in a handy holder attached to the battery compartment cap. I can’t see any indication as to which way the batteries are supposed to face, but the negative ends go against the springs just like other sex toys.
The control buttons are on the end of the cap. There is a power button to turn the motor on and off, a + button to increase the vibration intensity, a – button to take it back down, and an F button that switches the setting. I love that there is a quick way to turn the power off. With 10 different modes, it might otherwise take a long time to switch off the motor if the first few patterns happened to be your favorites and you had to cycle through all the settings. I also love that each function has 5 speed options. That’s definitely a bonus. Also, the cap is flat, which means Denma Lady can stand up on its own.
Denma Lady is a very powerful wand. I’m not even going to add “for a battery operated vibe” because it really produces some intense vibrations, especially at the higher speeds. Also, the head is attached by a flexible stem, and I notice no change in power even when the head is bent as far as it can go.
The handle has a very soft, velvety-like surface, which feels awesome. It’s fairly wide, measuring about 1 3/4 inches in diameter with a 5 1/2-inch girth, but it fits nicely in my hand and is comfortable to hold. I can feel the vibrations through the handle, but it’s not enough to be distracting or make my hand numb. The only other thing I’d mention is that after a while I notice the head gets a wee bit warm. Not enough to be concerned about, and it certainly isn’t too warm or uncomfortable, but I do notice it.
Here is a list of the patterns, by name as well as a brief description. One thing to note, the vibe stays at the same speed setting when you change to a different vibration mode. So, if you’re at top speed and you hit the F button, you’ll stay at top speed when it switches to the next pattern. However, when you turn the power off, it always starts at the beginning when you switch it back on again.
- Blink: A pretty standard pulse pattern.
- Wide: A pattern of longer pulses.
- Blink and Engine: 3 of the “blink” pulses followed by an interval of constant interval.
- Wide and Engine: 3 of the longer “wide” pulses followed by an interval of vibration.
- Long Blink and Engine: Around 24 short pulses (shorter and sharper than the original “Blink” pulses and hard to count), followed by a long constant vibration.
- Long Wide and Engine: 24 or so (again, it’s hard to keep count) pulses, similar to the first “Blink” pattern, separated by a long constant vibration.
- Wave: An escalating/roller coaster setting that starts out pretty slow and rumbly, then peaks at a powerful, and maybe slightly buzzy, intense vibration.
- Big Wave: This a gradual, extended escalating setting and the closest to constant vibration you get because the interval at the peak is nice and long, and it takes a while to get back down to the slow, rumbly vibration.
- Wave and Engine: Similar to the “wave” setting, followed by many short, sharp and way-too-fast-to-count pulses.
- Big Wave and Engine: Slow, subtle escalating vibration similar to “big wave” then many short, sharp pulses that aren’t quite as fast as the previous setting.
Overall, I am very impressed with the Denma Lady. Wand-style massagers are great for clitoral stimulation, and this one is a nice small size that can easily be incorporated into partner play without any power cords getting in the way. It’s also the first wand I’ve tried that has vibration patterns. Granted, it doesn’t have just a plain old constant vibration mode, but the settings that include an “engine” in the pattern have a brief interval of continuous vibration that is great for teasing. If you like patterns of intense vibrations for clitoral stimulation, this is definitely one worth having.

I do like that it has patterns and that you can change the strength of the patterns. I have always wanted to try a vibrator like that.
I've been meaning to tell you how much I love your video reviews! You speak clearly and are so thorough. This massager looks great. I really love a;; the patterns and I appreciate that you listed all of the out. Thanks for an excellent review!
Whoah, that battery cartridge is pretty cool!
The patterns sound fantastic and, you're right, it seems fairly strong for a battery wand. Definitely eying this one!
It is intriguing that there are so many patterns (or any patterns at all) on this type of wand! I do wish there was a constant vibration, but surely there is at least one pattern that would work for me. I bet it IS powerful with that many batteries.

The range of speeds and patterns makes this toy very interesting. I also like that the head can be positioned in different ways.
This looks seriously fun…I LOVE wand massagers so much. Awesome review and great pictures too >.<
I love good photos showing the product being reviewed, it adds a lot to the review. Lovely.
I really like the bendy neck and variable patterns. It looks like a fun toy to try
I a little scared of the bendy-ness actually the last vibe I had with a really flexible next, was so flexible it eventually frayed and flexed right off. Still look neat however.
