Don Juan
Don Juan is a silicone anal toy from GoodVibes.com. I was interested in trying it because thus far I’d only played with a metal butt plug and some silicone anal beads. To me, this looks like a hybrid of the two: it can be worn as a butt plug and is curved for prostate stimulation, but it’s made from a soft and squishy silicone with bugles that are very similar to anal beads. So, I requested it for review.
I think Don Juan is actually a very pretty sex toy. It comes in either black or purple, and both colors have a gorgeous marble pattern. Silicone is one of the safest sex toymaterials because it’s body-friendly, nonporous, and can be sanitized by boiling. It’s also super easy to care for, just please remember to only use water-based lube with it.
Intended for anal insertion, Don Juan has a wide, oval-shaped base measuring 1 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches. The bottom of the base is flat, so it can stand up on its own, which I think is super cool. The bulgy shaft is 5 inches long when stretched straight, and about 4 3/4 long when measured across its curve. The bulges are modestly sized at an inch wide in middle, so their maximum girth is only 3 inches.
These dimensions really make this an inviting toy for anyone new to butt play or using anal sex toys. The silicone is lightweight, so it’s also a great choice for anyone who may not be sure about using something heavy and rigid for anal play. Plus, it’s super flexible, so it’s ideal for anyone who prefers softer toys or is looking for something comfortable enough for extended wear.
Don Juan arrives in minimal packaging of just a clear plastic shell with a smaller inner molded tray and a paper insert with basic product information. Since I keep silicone toys individual plastic bags for storage so they don’t come into contact with each other, I’m recycling this packaging.
When I first started playing with my Don Juan, I tried it out vaginally first, just to see what it felt like in there. With the curve pointing up, I could stimulate my G-spot and thrusting felt pretty good. Since this toy is smaller and totally flexible, it’s not going to provide any firm G-spot pressure, but it’s great for getting things warmed up.
When I was ready to insert it anally, I was amazed by how easily it went in. I was using plenty of lube and was prepared to take it very slowly, but with just a gentle nudge the first bulge popped right in place, and the second one soon followed. I couldn’t get the third bulge inserted, though. I think this is because the base didn’t really nestle in between my bum cheeks. Instead, it seemed pretty determined to act as a stopper right against them.
This is maybe how it’s supposed to work, I’m not sure. Perhaps if there was more of a stem between the bottom bulge and the base it would fit me better. Either way, I’m not all that concerned because it still feels awesome. I get a nice full sensation, and when I use Don Juan in conjunction with another toy stimulating me vaginally, I notice more intense pressure on my G-spot.
Overall, I think Don Juan is a win, and I’m really glad I got one. The smaller size and easy insertion make it possible to enjoy without a lot of preamble, and it’s a high quality anal toy for a very reasonable price.
