Rapture Chain

Anal beads are an ideal introduction to experimenting with butt play. Unlike butt plugs, which remain in place and give the wearer a sense of fullness, anal beads are designed to be inserted and then removed, providing stimulation as each bead passes through the sphincter. Anal beads consist of connected bulges that start out very small and gradually increase in size. This is why they’re a good choice for beginners. Having already spent some time enjoying my njoy, I was thrilled when Fascinations offered me the opportunity to try an Ophoria Rapture Anal Chain.
The Ophoria Rapture comes packaged in a windowed box with the beads clearly visible and contained in a clear plastic clamshell. There is basic product information printed on the box and a small brochure with care, cleaning and use instructions for all of Ophoria’s product line included. I use the box and plastic insert for storage to help keep my Rapture Chain clean since its surface tends to pick up dust and lint.
The Rapture chain is 100% Japanese silicone, so it’s nonporous, easy to clean, and sterilizable. To clean, just wash with antibacterial soap and water or toy cleaner. If you plan on sharing this toy or using in more than one orifice, sterilize it with a 10% bleach solution or by boiling for 3-5 minutes. Avoid using any kind of abrasive cleaner, as that will damage the surface.
The anal beads have a smooth and velvety texture. There is some surface drag with this material, and because it’s silicone, use only good-quality water-based lube to prevent any silicone interactions that may damage the toy. This is really the only drawback I can cite, since many people prefer to use silicone-based lube for anal play. A very slight, but clearly visible, seam runs down either side of my Rapturechain, but I don’t notice or feel it when I’m using this toy.
As far as technical specs go, the Rapture chain consists of six insertable beads, ranging in length from 1/2 an inch (1 1/4 cm) to 1 1/2 inches (4 cm), with total insertable length of 7 inches (18 cm). The total length of this product, including its 3 inch (7 1/2 cm) handle, is 10 inches (25 1/2 cm). The smaller beads have quite a bit of give and feel rather squishy compared to the larger beads, which are more firm. The silicone “string” connecting the beads is pretty stretchy and very flexible, as is the ring handle.
With any kind of anal penetration, it’s important to use plenty of lube, start small, and go slow to avoid discomfort and potential injury. Anal beads like the Rapture chain make this easy since the beads start out so small and allow the user to gradually work up to the larger sizes at his or her own pace. The toy’s flexibility make it very comfortable to wear during foreplay, masturbation, and intercourse. Once inserted, twisting the ring handle rotates the beads inside, and pulling it removes them, as slowly or quickly as the user prefers. While this toy is designed for anal play, it can also be used vaginally as long as it has been sterilized after being inserted anally. Using these beads vaginally adds a fun element to foreplay and is a great way to get used to them. I also experimented with using my Rapture chain as a Kegel exerciser by squeezing my PC muscle around each bead.
I am very impressed with the Ophoria Rapture Anal Chain. It’s a perfect product for anyone new to anal play, but it’s also a high-quality sex toy more experienced users will enjoy.
