LELO Iris
Behold, the Lelo Iris. This is one of my favorite vibes, and probably the one I use most often. Isn’t it pretty? Really, Lelo is an awesome company. Their products are attractive, well designed, very effective, and made of safe, high quality materials.
This one is made from silicone with a hard plastic handle. This means it’s easy to clean and non porous, so no worries about bacteria lingering on the smooth surface. There is a long petal-shaped texture along the curved shaft, with a rather girthy bulbous head. The curved shape is for g-spot stimulation, but the vibe feels really good against the clitoris as well.
Every product I have ever seen from Lelo has been exquisitely packaged, and the Iris was no exception. Mine came in a sleek black box, on a molded, lift-out tray. Underneath was the power cord for charging, a satiny, draw-string storage bag, and detailed user instructions. Beautifully and discreetly presented like this, the Iris is gift-ready.
The Iris features two separate vibrating “pleasure points” located at the tip and base of the shaft, with multiple speed settings. Additionally, there are five different vibration modes: continuous vibration of the tip, continuous vibration of the base, full stem continuous vibration, short pulse, and long pulse. This provides many different combinations of stimulation possibilities, all controlled by the button dial on the handle.
All that, plus the Lelo Iris a rechargeable vibe, so it’s cordless (yay!), more powerful than many battery-operated vibes, and there’s no concern over keeping spare batteries on hand. It’s always nice to have one less thing to think about. Did I mention it’s also available in pink?
The only thing keeping me from saying it’s perfect is the button dial control. For me, it took a little practice to get used to. The center turns it on or off, a nudge to the right speeds up the vibration, and pressing the left slows it down. Push up or down on the dial to cycle through the five vibration modes. I still occasionally make it go faster when I really wanted it to start pulsing or vice versa, but luckily that’s quickly remedied. Also, I’ve had this vibrator for close to 3 years. I understand that the newer models have improved, easier-to-use button dial controls.
